Light After Rain

For the last leg of the plein air tour, I met up with my friend and incredible artist, Jared Brady in Cinque Terre to add a few more boats to my collection. When we arrived, the exhaustion from the past 23 days was starting to kick in and the pouring rain certainly wasn’t helping. But when the rain passed we forced ourselves to go down to the sea where I found this boat perfectly composed between the Cinque Terre coast in the distance and the rough rocks in the foreground. We painted through a light sprinkle of rain and finished just in time to watch a beautiful sunset.
