One thing to know about the Temple of Hera is that it is massive… and the previous times I’ve painted it, I felt that I wasn’t able to convey the shear magnitude of the structure. So I composed this painting with some figures to try to show how small it made me feel, how humbled I felt by the genius greek architecture. This is truly a special place.
